on saturday i went to sim lim to buy printers ink. da alang2, i went to sungei road. and i love sungei road on saturdays. a loooooot of stuff (or junks) u noe! then i walk2…saw some nice bags but i told myself, NO MORE BAGS! if the bags at home could talk, they’d surely screamed for attention. who wants to sit and grow dusts in a cupboard? mind you, they’re vintage. and they need princess-sy service.
most of the ah peks demand more than $15. wah lau! forget it. then i saw a cute sling but the seller scared the hell out of me. all-over body art. i saw him for the first time there. his friend was a regular seller. then i ignored the urge to ask for the price. jalan2 lagi. then nothing attracted me, i decided to balek sua. then i passed that ‘stall’ again. nak tanye ke taknak. ok, tanye je.
me: nak tengok yang tu lah.
abang tattoo: yang ni?
me: brape ni eh?
he handed me the bag then i immediately, less than 1/4 sec noticed the YSL logo on the clasp. OMG! then i quickly checked the interior. clean. complete with YSL brand logo and ‘made in france’, in gold. i fell in love instantly.
abang tattoo: $5.
then he made small talk, asking me whether i’m a madrsah student. blax3. keypoh plak abang tattoo ni tau.
abang tattoo: kalau nak kurang bole…
me: brape abang bole kasi?
abang tattoo: $3 lah..
me: OK LAH!!
I always feel happy and, erm, satisfied, whenever i get to buy something from Sungei Road at less than 5 bucks.
I casually created this account because I had so much time to spare. hehe. no lah. i saw ninishasha’s wordpress and it’s totally stunning and there r catergories. fun right? so i specially dedicate this blog for my sungei road bargains/shopping/spendings.
